Chemo, Chinese, and counts

Hello friends!

After the morning I have had.....

1. If you do not know how to draw blood, maybe find a different line of work. It shouldn't be a continuous trial and error line of work. I've had problems 3 weeks in a row at 3 different places.
2. If you do not intend to call people when you say you will regarding their medical condition, hire an assistant or don't tell them you will call them.
3. If I know you and your wife and you walk by and pretend not to notice me and my son at Spectrum, then talk about me after you pass by, guess what? I can hear you! I can probably hear you even better know that I have no hair covering my ears! I've had 5 year olds treat me with more respect.

On a positive note, thank you to the stranger who complimented my henna crown and gave me a fist bump this morning :)

The past 2 weeks my chemo has been postponed for me because of my blood counts (ANC level) being too low. Although highly frustrating and inconvenient (I like to plan things out weeks in advance) I'm glad I was able to check out Art Prize again and spend time with my dear friend and her adorable son.

This past week I'm pretty sure I had food poisoning. Lots of prayers (and Tylenol) and my fever broke and I felt much better within 24 hours. No more Chinese food for awhile, but I'll continue to wear my mask when out in public to protect against sickies.

Griffin is continuing to walk all around the house. His favorite thing to carry around is a green pumpkin scoop and won't stay out of the lazy susan cabinets (I'm ordering locks today). He amazes me everyday!

Crowns of Courage will be part of Colors of Community, an art show in Allendale. If you get a chance to check out the show, please do. I will be posting more information about it, but it will be end of October through early November. I'll be entering some photographs as well :)

Luke 6:27 (NIV)
" But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

We all have lots of room for improvement, myself included.

The past 3 years at ArtPrize. Last year my brother wheeled me around in my wheelchair, so he earned Starbucks :)

Beautiful day with these beautiful souls
